Could we get rid of whoever is sniffling through the entire episode…

    Unique educational quirky
This is an excellent regularly released pod for film photography nerds. Lots of good information. Not every episode is spectacular but most are very good and you will learn something. They have a quirky take on sound effects and music that takes a couple of episodes to get used to.

Love the content, but audio is awful
I beg you - please balance the voices. Your choices are a) Michael screaming at you while everyone else is at *nearly* normal levels, or b) Michael at normal volume while the others, I assume, mime the episode.

    Love this show
I’ve listened to this show for a year or two, and I’m ready to call it one of my favorites. There are some great podcasts and YT channels out there for hyper-detailed camera collector nerdery, for the street photography vibes and tonez, and for a couple of fellow film-appreciators shooting the breeze about their hobby. I follow a lot of them, yet the FPP still manages to expose me to new formats, ideas, cameras, etc. It usually covers topics at a somewhat higher, beginner-to-intermediate level, but it covers such a variety of them that there’s almost always something new to me—and I’m old enough to have worked at a 1 hr photo lab and learned B

    Why the sound effects?!
I had to unsubscribe. The constant sound effects drove me mad. They’re so pointless and often completely unrelated to what’s happening.

    Unlistenable
Your current show is so marred by adolescent sound effects that I turned it off after 10 minutes. It was painful to listen to.

    Best podcast out there!
    This show is comfort food

    Old favorite
used to listen to this podcast back in 2010, moved away from film for a few years. When I came back to film I was delighted to learn that the great people at the FPP were still at it. I can’t express how wonderful it was to have the familiar voices still out there publishing such great information. I am so happy to see what has become of the fledgling film photography project new films and wonderful online store. Great job everyone I love what you do! Cheers Brian

    Filmformative and More
The most fun you’ll have all week geeking out on anything analog. These guys and girl are the best at entertaining and informing you on film related gear and films available. The clips of old commercials are the best. It brings me back to my childhood. I look forward to hearing the next episode. Keep up the fantastic work.

    Desperately in need of editing
I should start by saying that I truly appreciate the people who produce this podcast, but I have found with episodes lasting nearly an hour and a half, that my attention is severely taxed by all the off-topic digression. I have unfortunately found that there are far better, more on-topic podcasts for film photography enthusiasts. If this was the only podcast on this subject, I would probably feel more tolerant of the chit-chat, but there are too many interesting things to listen to, so I have had to unsubscribe.

    Film Photography Gold!
This is by far the best photo podcast. It is centered around film photography. So, no digital stufff here. Mike Raso is the patron saint of keeping photography fun in our stuffy universe. I look forward to each and every episode, and haven't missed a single one since, sheesh, I don't know how long. Maybe 2012?? Keep 'em coming FPP!! We love you guys!! Love it, love it, love it!

    THE show
This is a great source of information about analog photography. It can be tough to catch on to some parts of the show (the more personal dialog at first) but don’t let that deter you from listening. The FPP has been doing great things for the analog community for many years. Enjoy the shoeee.

    AM radio for film photographers!
Love these folks. It really is like AM radio for film photographers.Sure, there are sound effects and general silliness but it's kind of endearing plus I have learned A TON from these podcasts that I have not found anywhere else.

    Too much pointless babbling.
In an hour long show there is maybe 20 min of actual photography talk. They babble on way to much about anything and everything other then photography. THE SOUND EFFECTS ARE EXTREMELY ANNOYING!! THE MUSIC THEY PUT AT THE END OF THE SHOW IS EVEN MORE ANOYING. (Its BAD music) It would be great if they would release a cleaned up version with just the photo talk and no sound effects and end misic.

Great Podcast if you stick with it
Couple of guys and gals sitting around talking about old cameras, film, film development, news and other ireverant things. Big on 70's and 80's punk/rock. Very east coast flavor (New Jersey). The sound effects and stuff is a little weird at first if you are used to more stuffy podcasts. Give it a couple of shows and you will start looking forward to this when it comes out.

Great show... What shoe?! A blast to listen to, been a listener from day 1
I look forward to this show. They are a staple of our film community. They are a great group and are an important part of keeping our film community alive. They don't seem as active on social media in terms of communication, but the show more than makes up for that. This is a must for any film shooters or anyone looking to get in to film shooting. @CWDaly Podcaster at Cybrcast, Bubblesort Show, Bubblesort TV, and Through My Lens with Clay Daly

    Inspiring
I really enjoy this podcast, with its in depth conversations about cameras, film, books, and methodology. The crew has the type of attitude and outlook on photography that I wish everyone did. The work they do is much appreciated!

    Sounds and film
Well, this podcast is great! They talk and test so much film and camera gear from 8mm to 8x10. Dark room dev and tips are great and shooting expired film pushing pulling, just really great! They give a lot back to the photo community which is major! The sound effects are an adjustment in the begging but by the second episode you’ll be saying “what show” every time you hear he word show either during the podcast or just in your daily life!

The most interesting and inspiring Podcast
Film Photography Podcast has been on a very long time and the reason is its relevance and it’s inspiring nature. It presents a lot of interesting and informative information in every podcast mixed with a little humor. The Michael Raso and company obviously know their subject and are skilled film photographers who practice their skill as well as promote and inspire others. They have inspired me to dust off my film cameras and darkroom equipment and get back into the art of film photography. Thank you Michael, Leslie, Mark and Mat! - Buzzy in Texas

    "What Show?"
Fantastic for folks who are seriously (or not so seriously) into film. The FPP gang manages to balance their enthusiasm for all things film with a fun and light attitude that is infectious. Keep up the great work, guys!

    Tons of great info
Seriously there's tons of great info for all things photography. The sounds effects are a bit corny but I appreciate the effect to spice it up. Keep on keeping on! Thanks
  • RansomedNBlood
    My favorite podcast!
It's like sitting down with friends and talking photography. It's informative entertainment! Don't expect dry photographic talk. It's zaney banter. Great hosts and guests.

    My film companions
This podcast is my companion piece in a hobby that otherwise has me feeling pretty singular and isolated. Not only has it made me feel more connected with outher enthusiasts it has taught me a lot and inspires me constantly to be more ambitious and try new things in the realm of film photography. Plus I LOVE the sound effects and similar nonsense. The hosts have miles and miles of personality which makes the sense of intmacy and camaraderie that much deeper.

    Film Photography Podcast
The FPP is 5 stars all the way. All the guys & gal Leslie are tops. Love the sound affects. Never stop. I'm a truck driver & your shoe keeps me alert & laughing. The FPP store is the best place on the planet to score some films. Again 5 stars.

    Wonderful podcast
I'm a child of the digital age just getting into Film photography. I found this podcast and didn't have high expectations, but I was blown away by the insight, knowledge, and humor of it all. I've learned so much from this and I feel like I found my people. The New Jersey stuff is also good for a giggle here and there. You know it's a good podcast when an hour long episode flies by.

    Late to the party
I discovered this podcast a little while back. Great content and inspired me to start shooting in film again. Only one thing not so good. That is the annoying sound effects that whoever edits the show applies. The first it made me smile but is now just very very very annoying. There is a reason other quality podcasts don't do this and I would appreciate it if this gimmick was dropped.

One of the Best Podcasts Out There
I love photography, especially film photography. The group at the FPP are extraordinarily knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. This is hands down my favorite podcast of all time. I've gone through the entire catalog of episodes and I'm going to go back for round #2 because it's that good. Keep up the great work FPP crew. Love the shoes!

    FPP is a 10/10
The Film Photography Podcast is a stellar show for anyone who enjoys shooting film. Whatever your format of choice may be, they’ll have something for you. Large format, small format, medium format, all is represented here. Listener for nearly four years. Long live.

    Gives me GAS
When I first started listening to the podcast I was a little put off by some things like the sound effects. However I was soon loving them as they help to keep a long podcast spiced up. It is normally a fairly long podcast but unlike other long podcasts I have listened to, the time seems to fly by. The subjects of the podcast are varied and interesting, the moderator and all the others that participate in the podcast are enjoyable to listen to and have varied photo experiences. However, they discuss all types of process’s as well as equipment so I keep finding new cameras that sound fun to try. So watch our for Gear Acquisition Syndrome!

Interesting listen for people wanting to get into film
I have no experience in film photography other than owning what I would call the point-and-shoot of film cameras when I was very young through about middle school/early high school when the digital revolution was taking over. However, I have been obsessed with photography for about 4 years and lately have developed an interest in film. This podcast delivers excellent info that has inspired me to shoot a roll of film! The cast is knowledgeable and I love all the sound effects and ads they play from a bygone era. Definitely give it a listen!
